Description

Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil (Cinnamomum zeylanicum (also written Cinnamomum verum))

The warm, spicy bark that has been prized since antiquity.

Our cinnamon bark essential oil is steam-distilled from the inner bark of Cinnamomum zeylanicum and is sourced from Sri Lanka and Madagascar. It has a warm, spicy and intensely sweet aroma, like freshly baked cinnamon. It is a very strong oil, best kept for tiny amounts in a diffuser, and valued in natural perfumery as a tenacious middle-to-base note with a spicy, gourmand character.

Each bottle is made of amber glass to help protect the oil from light, and comes with a glass pipette dropper for controlled, drop-by-drop use. Choose the 10ml size to try it or the 30ml size for regular use.

How to use

  • Diffuser: add just 1 to 2 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser in a well-ventilated room, for 30 minutes at most.
  • Inhalation: put 1 drop on a tissue, hold it at arm’s length and sniff lightly. Keep the tissue away from your skin.
  • On the skin: not recommended. The published dermal maximum is only 0.07% (about 1 drop in 70ml of carrier oil). Never use it in the bath.

Important safety information
