Fennel Essential Oil (Foeniculum vulgare)

A sweet, honeyed oil with a warm, aniseed-like character.

Our sweet fennel essential oil is steam-distilled from the crushed seeds of Foeniculum vulgare. It has a rich, honeyed and spicy-sweet aroma reminiscent of aniseed and liquorice. It adds a warm, sweet note to diffuser blends and is a distinctive middle note in natural perfumery.

It comes in a glass bottle with a glass pipette dropper for controlled, drop-by-drop use. Choose the 10ml size to try it or the 30ml size for regular use.

How to use

• Diffuser: add 2 to 3 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser in a well-ventilated room, in short sessions of 30 to 60 minutes.
• Inhalation: put 1 drop on a tissue and breathe in gently. Keep the tissue away from your skin.
• On the skin: always dilute. Mix 3 drops into 15ml of a carrier oil such as jojoba (1%). Never exceed 1%. Patch test first.

Important safety information

• Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Avoid fennel oil if you have epilepsy, endometriosis or an oestrogen-dependent condition unless your doctor advises otherwise.
• May cause an allergic skin reaction. Never apply undiluted and keep skin use to 1% or less. Avoid contact with eyes.
• For external and aromatic use only. Do not swallow.
• Do not use on young children, and never on or near the face of babies or young children. Take care around pets, particularly cats: ventilate the room, let animals leave freely and never apply it to them.
• If you have any other medical condition or take regular medication, speak to a healthcare professional before use.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Can I put fennel essential oil on my skin?
Only when diluted. Use no more than 1% (about 3 drops per 15ml of carrier oil) and patch test first. Stop if irritation occurs, and avoid sensitive or broken skin.

Aceite esencial de hinojo dulce (Foeniculum vulgare), destilado al vapor de las semillas trituradas. Aroma dulce, cálido, meloso y parecido al anís. Disponible en frascos de vidrio de 10 ml y 30 ml con pipeta de vidrio.
