Turmeric Essential Oil (Curcuma longa)

Turmeric essential oil is warm, dry and earthy, with a peppery spice and a woody undertone. It is a distinctive oil for grounding, spiced blends.

Available in 10ml and 30ml sizes. Choose 10ml to try it or 30ml for regular use.

Ways to enjoy it

• A warm, earthy note for autumn and winter blends.
• A spiced, woody base for natural perfume.
• A grounding accent alongside ginger and black pepper.

How to use

• Diffuser: add 1 to 2 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser in a well-ventilated room, in sessions of 30 to 60 minutes.
• Inhalation: put 1 drop on a tissue and breathe in slowly. Keep the tissue away from your skin and eyes.
• On the skin: always dilute. Mix 2 drops into 10ml of a carrier oil such as sweet almond or jojoba (about 1%), or 3 drops into 15ml. Never exceed 1%. Patch test first.

• May cause an allergic skin reaction. Never apply undiluted, keep skin use to 1% or less and patch test first. Avoid the eyes and broken or sensitive skin.
• Turmeric oil may stain light fabrics and surfaces.
• Take care if you take anticoagulant (blood-thinning) medication.
• For external and aromatic use only. Do not swallow.
• Keep out of reach of children, and do not use on or near the face of babies or young children.
• Take care around pets, especially cats.
• Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and speak to a healthcare professional if you have a medical condition or take medication.
• Essential oils are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
