Our eucalyptus essential oil is steam-distilled from the leaves of Eucalyptus globulus, often called blue gum. It has a sharp, camphoraceous, invigorating aroma that feels instantly fresh and cooling, and it is a favourite for diffusing in a well-ventilated space and in clean, minty-herbal home blends.

Each bottle is made of glass to help protect the oil from light, and comes with a glass pipette dropper for controlled, drop-by-drop use. Choose the 10ml size to try it or the 30ml size for regular use.

How to use

• Diffuser: add 3 to 5 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser in a well-ventilated room, in short sessions.
• Inhalation: put 1 drop on a tissue and breathe in gently. Keep the tissue away from your skin and out of reach of children.
• On the skin: always dilute. Mix 3 drops into 10ml of a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil (1.5%). Never exceed 1.5%. Patch test first. Avoid the face.

Important safety information

• High in 1,8-cineole. Do not use eucalyptus on or near the face of babies and children under 10, as strong vapours can affect their breathing. Keep out of reach of children.
• May cause an allergic skin reaction. Skin use should not exceed 1.5% (3 drops per 10ml of carrier oil). Never apply undiluted, patch test first and avoid sensitive or damaged skin.
• Eucalyptus oil can be very toxic if swallowed. Strong vapours can irritate sensitive airways, so speak to a healthcare professional first if you have asthma or epilepsy.
• Eucalyptus oil can be harmful to pets, especially cats and dogs. Ventilate the room, let animals leave when diffusing and never apply it to them.
• For external and aromatic use only. Do not swallow.

Can I put eucalyptus essential oil on my skin?
Only when diluted. Use no more than 1.5% (3 drops per 10ml of carrier oil), patch test first, avoid the face and broken skin, and never use it on babies or children under 10.

Is eucalyptus oil safe around children and pets?
Not near the face of babies or children under 10, because the high cineole content can affect breathing. It can also be harmful to cats and dogs, so ventilate well and let animals leave the room.

What does eucalyptus blend well with?
