Our niaouli essential oil is steam-distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca quinquenervia, a tree native to Australia and the South Pacific. It has a clean, fresh, crisp herbal aroma with lightly camphorous undertones, a little like eucalyptus but softer, and it is used in diffuser blends, natural home fragrance and spa-inspired creations.

Each bottle is made of matte black glass to help protect the oil from light, and comes with a glass pipette dropper for controlled, drop-by-drop use. Choose the 10ml size to try it or the 30ml size for regular use.

How to use

• Diffuser: add 3 to 4 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser in a well-ventilated room, in sessions of 30 to 60 minutes.
• Inhalation: put 1 to 2 drops on a tissue and hold it at a comfortable distance. Keep the tissue away from your skin.
• On the skin: always dilute. Mix 3 drops into 15ml of a carrier oil such as jojoba (1%). Never exceed 1%. Patch test first.

Important safety information

• May cause skin irritation or an allergic skin reaction in some people. Skin use should not exceed 1% (about 3 drops per 15ml of carrier oil). Never apply undiluted, patch test first and avoid the eyes and broken skin.
• Niaouli is rich in 1,8-cineole. Do not use it on or near the face of babies and young children. Keep out of reach of children and diffuse only in a ventilated room.
• Speak to a healthcare professional first if you have asthma, other breathing difficulties, epilepsy or sensitive skin. Avoid bowls of hot water with the oil added, as concentrated vapours can be too strong.
• Niaouli oil can be harmful to pets, especially cats. Ventilate the room, let animals leave freely and never apply it to them. Keep the cap closed and store the bottle somewhere cool and dark.
• For external and aromatic use only. Do not swallow.
