Our lemongrass essential oil is steam-distilled from the aromatic grass and has a bright, crisp aroma with fresh citrus undertones and a subtle herbal depth. It is loved for diffusing, for natural home fragrance and room sprays, and as a sparkling top note in natural perfumery.

Each bottle is made of matte black glass to help protect the oil from light, and comes with a glass pipette dropper for controlled, drop-by-drop use. Choose the 10ml size to try it or the 30ml size for regular use.

How to use

• Diffuser: add 3 to 4 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser in a well-ventilated room, in sessions of 30 to 60 minutes.
• Room spray: add 6 drops to 100ml of water with a tablespoon of witch hazel (about 0.3%). Shake before each use and test a small hidden area first.
• On the skin: always dilute, and keep it very light. Mix 1 drop into 15ml of a carrier oil such as jojoba (about 0.3%). Never exceed 0.3%. Patch test first.

Important safety information

• Rich in citral: may cause skin irritation or an allergic skin reaction. Never apply undiluted, keep skin use to 0.3% or less (1 drop per 15ml) and avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas.
• For external and aromatic use only. Do not swallow.
• Not recommended for young children. Keep it out of their reach and do not use it on or near the face of babies or young children.
• Lemongrass oil can be harmful to pets, especially cats and dogs, so ventilate the room and let animals leave when diffusing.
• If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition or take regular medication, speak to a healthcare professional before use.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put lemongrass essential oil on my skin?
Only when very lightly diluted. Use no more than 0.3% (about 1 drop per 15ml of carrier oil), patch test first and avoid the face, sensitive areas and broken skin. Lemongrass is rich in citral, which can irritate.

Is lemongrass oil safe around pets?
Take care, especially around cats and dogs. Diffuse in a ventilated room, let animals leave freely, and never apply the oil to them or their fur.

What does lemongrass blend well with?
Its fresh lemony scent pairs well with Lavender, Ginger, Geranium, Sweet Orange and Citronella.
