Description
Dill Seed Essential Oil (Anethum graveolens)
A spicy, herbaceous seed oil with a warm, clean character.
Our dill seed essential oil is steam-distilled from the dried, crushed seeds of Anethum graveolens. Unlike the fresh, leafy scent of the herb, the seed oil is deeper, spicier and more complex, with a warm, slightly minty-caraway character and a touch of earthy sweetness. It is a distinctive middle note for diffuser blends and room fragrance.
Each bottle is made of glass to help protect the oil from light, and comes with a glass pipette dropper for controlled, drop-by-drop use. Choose the 10ml size to try it or the 30ml size for regular use.

- A fresh lift when blended with lemon or lavender.
- A distinctive middle note for your own natural fragrance blends.
- A warm, caraway-like twist on a classic herbal blend.
How to use
- Diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser in a well-ventilated room, in sessions of 30 to 60 minutes.
- Inhalation: put 1 drop on a tissue and breathe in gently. Keep the tissue away from your skin.
- On the skin: always dilute. Mix up to 1% (about 3 drops per 15ml, or 2 drops per 10ml) into a carrier oil such as sweet almond. Patch test first.
Important safety information
- Use no more than 1% on the skin (about 3 drops per 15ml of carrier oil). May cause an allergic skin reaction, so patch test first, never apply undiluted and avoid contact with eyes. Old or oxidised oil is more likely to irritate, so keep the bottle tightly closed, away from heat and light.
- For external and aromatic use only. Do not swallow.
- Dill seed oil is best avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless a qualified professional advises otherwise. Speak to a healthcare professional if you have a medical condition or take medication.
- Keep out of reach of children, and do not use on or near the face of babies or young children.
- Dill seed oil is rich in limonene and carvone and can be harmful to pets, especially cats. Ventilate the room, let animals leave freely when diffusing and never apply the oil to them.
- Essential oils are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
